Penn and Teller: Bullshit!

This weekend I had the chance to partake in a unique experience: shooting a television episode. Several weeks ago I was contacted by the producer of the Showtime seriesPenn and Teller: Bullshit! about an episode they planned to film on the subject of video games and their connection to violence. The producer had read a blog I wrote for the New York Times on the subject and he thought that coupled with my Marine Corps experience might make for an interesting perspective. We filmed Sunday both at a shooting range in Cullman, Alabama, and at a small LAN party I hosted at my home. The filming and the LAN went incredibly well. I enjoyed working with the crew from Bullshit! and look forward to seeing the episode sometime during spring or summer 2009.

By the way, go to youtube and look up their episode from season three on gun control. It’s worth your time.

Penn & Teller have been on my amusement list for about three years. Their “blunt” approach to various topics are entertaining and informative. Granted, these guys are performers, but for the most part, they shoot straight. P&T give both sides of the story, even though they favor a topic. Good watching for adult. Keep the kiddies out of the room. They are on late night for a good reason.

Sweet. At least you’re on the right side of the issue. Otherwise they would make you look like a complete fool.
