Writing for Primer Magazine
Primer is a new online men’s magazine aimed at young professionals. This snippet from the “about” page sums Primer succintly:
As a departure from the status quo of typical men’s journalism, we are shredding the portrait Maxim and GQ paint of us. We’re over week-long binge drinking and the post-pubescent hunt for random hookups. We want to stay in shape and dress well but don’t relate to the idea of wanting or needing a $2,500 suit.
I really like Primer’s concept. It’s increasingly difficult to find interesting content for twenty to thirty somethings, and I hope Primer will fill that void. The only popular publication I know of that attempts to do this might be Men’s Health, but it’s hard to take it seriously when every other month the cover article is “20-Minute Washboard Abs.”
I have at least two articles that will be published in the “Train” section of Primer. The first is now posted and is titled Train Your Brain. I hope you’ll check it out and find it beneficial.
