You guys (and gals) are amazing. Just the facts, no hyp. Refreshing. Back here in the states the MSM has shut up about how we are losing the war in Iraq. It is because you have put a muzzle on that pig with actions. As we enter into the Thanksgiving/Christmas season, know that all of you are in our prayers and that you all will return here as heroes and true American Warriors. Semper Fi devildogs.

There are plenty of ways to stir up trouble at home against enemies of freedom and threats to our Constitution. I think Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Samuel Adams, Rosa Parks, and Mark Twain got up every morning and said "F*%k Yeah, We're Going!"

Thanks for your journal. Keep writing. I just started reading.

I'm not military--and not a wannabee, either, but I do enjoy reading milblogs, and particularly enjoyed seeing the tales coming from Midnight Hour. Watching the military videos on LiveLeak provides proof that the gallantry on display here is no fluke. Thanks for your service, sir.

Couldn't have said it better than Susan. That sense of purpose is strong. I know quite a few folks that have been in Iraq and Afghanistan. I really don't ask them much about it, just let 'em talk if they want, but there's one question I always ask. "Do you have any desire to go back?" Every one I've asked has said yes.

your response made me smile, as well. in my work with Marines (and being the mother of one), i'm always taken with their their clarity about what they need to do and where they need to be. no ambivalence or ambiguity . . . just a clear sense of purpose. a decided rarity in our complex world. well done, Marine.

i also appreciate the distinction you made that you are a Marine who is now in a civilian role. well said, Marine.
