I understand why you don’t agree with chpsticks if you find eating a chore. For me(and many like me) eating is one of the great pleasures in life(not quite up there with sex!). To eat with chopsticks, if you’re used to it is no more difficult than eating with a fork.
Just keep eatin with your shovel if that makes you happy buddy!

Did any one ever see this ,as your walking down the street ,and the people that are in sandels or flip flops in mid decemder and hear them say that they are cold and don’t know why.And to the vw bug the funny thing is to see the luggage rack being used ,like coming out of lows or home depot.

Walking barefoot is a statement to shoes manufacturers to stop killing animals to make them. obviously a GI Joe doesn’t give a damn about some animals but a large percentage of the global population is against it.
It’s not so much as being different as it is about being smart. Most of the “followers” aren’t that smart.
Chopstick use is great for the teeth- no metal on them ever!
Luggage racks on VW’s are used to carry surfboards- even though their trunk (at the front) are very large it still doesn’t fit a surfboard in it.

Oh, and for chopsticks… I only use them for sushi. It’s a pain to use a fork for that, and using your hands doesn’t quite work either.

I think you’ve just hit it on the head right there… This is the epiphany that every Hot Topic shopper goes through when they graduate high school. Eventually, they learn it’s better to look like 75% of us instead of the other millions that want to be different.

I agree with you on the first one about the bug. The second one, well, I’ve used chopsticks when the type of food I eat are normally eaten with chopsticks, I’ve done it all my life so it isn’t any more difficult to me than using a fork. For me, it’s just as efficient. I guess it does go back to eatting it in a more authentic way. It is too bad about the waste though…

I was reading this earlier:

In China alone, an estimated 45 billion pairs of disposable chopsticks are used and thrown away annually. This adds up to 1.7 million cubic metres of timber or 25 million fully grown trees every year. To encourage that people use and throw away less, as of April 2006 a five percent tax is added to the price of chopsticks. This measure is part of the first tax package in 12 years.

A 2003 study found that regular use of chopsticks may slightly increase the risk of osteoarthritis in the hand, a condition where cartilage gets worn off, leading to pain in the hand joints, particularly among the elderly.[2] There have also been concerns regarding the use of certain white disposable chopsticks that may pose a health risk, causing coughing or even leading to asthma.
