You write from a free Belgium because of others efforts. ( America, Britain her commonwealth allies, and, France,) There are more British soldiers buried in Belgium than anywhere else on earth. Go and look at the British cemeteries around Ypres and the salient, read some of the grave stones.( almost a million of them) Then think!... and perhaps rethink your question?
